The cab car for the 101 expert seems buggy or is it me? Ran a timetabled service from Frankfurt to Fulda however at Hannau the doors wont open with the U key and even using the lever in the cab the doors refuse to open? Then when it comes to departure the train refuses to take power? I had to relinquish control to get the thing to move. Is there a manual for this dlc? Also the sounds riding in the carriages is disappointing why isn't there any points sounds when travelling over them?
You forgot to enable the train line power (Zugsammelschiene). You should read the manual before and have it at nearby when operating the expert 101 or cab car, as they require training to get used to them, even if you are experienced in driving trains in TSW. The manual can be found here, and is still updated on a regular basis: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/br101-expert-cab-car-manual-and-guide.83421/
Actually the timetable service comes with it already set up. Thanks for the link, however I only really purchased this addon for the Steuerwagen the complexity of it does not interest me in the slightest only simple mode for me.
It does not Since the ZS requires the cab to be active it will be disengaged when you start a service. Move that switch to the extreme right, and hold it there until the yellow "ZS aus" light extinguishes on the MFA, any time you either activate the cab or after you close the main circuit breaker after a neutral section. That will keep batteries charged and the passengers comfortable
So then I can drive this service without ZS to Hannau from Frankfurt if indeed it isn't activated and then it decides to stop working at Hannau? So youre saying I can't move the train without ZS but I am? And why do the doors stop working at Hannau but worked at Frankfurt, if that isn't a bug I don't know what is?
Nope, still not a bug. It's driveable without ZS for a while, but you're quickly draining the cab car's battery when you do, which will then start to load shed system after system as its battery empties, at some point also disabling the door controls.
Thank you for that explanation. However I re ran the timetabled service and entered the 101 and pressed the ZS change button which immediately turned the loco off! Went back to the cab car and no traction so is it already set up or have I done something wrong bearing in mind I have run the tutorial.
There is definitely an issue with the timetabled scenario as once you have stopped at Hannau the next objective won't load as it is stuck at loading passengers until 38 minutes past the hour but doesn't clear.
Yeah, your Zugsammelschiene (Electrical Train Supply) still isn't active. I'm pretty sure you pressed "ZSG change" at the back wall of the cab, right? That will indeed entirely reboot the loco, because it changes the Central Control Unit of the loco to a backup in case there's a fault with the main unit. Just to clear up any confusion, here's a short video of how to enable the ZS in the cab car. It works the same for the BR 101. Direct link in case the embedded video doesn't show.
