Br101 Expert + Freeroam

So, I wanted to try out the BR101 on an actual high speed line.
Selected Kassel-Wurzburg, set everything up and then I wanted to start my journey so I set up a free roam path. But after setting the arrival point nothing happened. No visible path on the map and no green signal either.
So I tried the same on Munich Augsburg and... same here. I've also tried setting shorter distances and so on, nothing helps.
Is this something with the Expert 101 or what is it?

 

Freeroam was broken with today’s update.
We are waiting for a fix.
DTG are aware.

 

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this inevitable outcome of these patches.

 

Well good to know its nothing on my end.
Did they even patch anything related to freeroam?
