Why is there a sticker in the driver's cab of the 112 that says that this locomotive is only allowed to drive 120kmh even though this locomotive was built for 160? I mean with the 243/143 it would still make sense but here in the 112 it doesn't make sense.
The 112 isn’t a new loco, they just took the 143 slightly tweaked it, that’s why it doesn’t even look like a 112.
Interesting, besides the cab what are the main differences between the 143 & 112? Comparing images I can’t see any differences.
The 112 has a different headlight configuration and different bogies for 160km/h (instead of the 143’s 120km/h). That’s the main differences. 143 Source 112 Source
And this is the thing which is so frustrating about DTG- the lack of attention to detail, when even a little more effort, a little more polish, a little more perfectionism would make all the difference.
