Everytime I play the timetables on the long haul routes, there's problems with the auto braking, disconnecting when approaching the station, with no warning, this happens when approaching to Fulda, and the service always ends when approaching to Wurzburg. Also only DB401 can resch 280km/h, when playing with DB403, never allows to go over 250km/h. Another thing the timetables, are 95% heading to Kassel, very few options geading to Wurzburg. Even using the scenario planner, it's kinda impossible to head to Wurzburg.
The 403 is much lighter than the 401, meaning it can easily be blown off the tracks especially where there are viaducts, etc. Basically the wind and friction at high speed doesn't make it safe for the 403 to go really fast in high and open areas. So tsw simulates that and changes your speed accordingly.
What you mean with "auto brake"? If you mean the AFB/LZB combination, LZB ends before some Stations and so AFB goes into a suspended mode. You need to set the AFB speed to 0 and then back to your desired speed to get it working again.
Sometimes when approaching to Fulda, the autobrake stops, and the speed goes back to 100km/h and you have to immediately push the brake to not miss the station.
I understand the afb/lzb ending, but for this you get a warning, just the speeds before to follow, is a bit crazy.
From what I understand, you are expecting AFB and LZB to bring you to a stop at Fulda. Unfortunately, LZB has no idea if you are going to stop at a station or not. The reason it does sometimes stop at Fulda, is because the signal is red. If the signal is not red, then LZB will not stop at Fulda. LZB is stopping for the signal, not for the station.
