I am trying to replace an old ICE with the BR407 from Dovetail using TS-Tools. Looking at a scenario for Frankfurt High Speed using the 407 I see that it's in my Assets/DTG/BR407pack01 folder. Also looking at that DTG scenario using the train in TS-Tools Selected Consist Details panel I see the consist: BR407 End Wagon 1.Clas (407.0 EW01) BR407 Trafo wagon 1.Class (407.1 TW02) BR407 Boardbitro 1.Class (407.2 SW03) BR407 Service wagon 2.Class (407.3 MW04) BR407 Middle wagon 2.Class (407.8 MW05) BR407 Inverter Wagon 2.Class (407.7 SW06) BR407 Trafo Wagon 2.Clas (407.6 TW07) BR407 End wagon 2.Class (407.5 EW08) However when I am in the scenario I want to change and navigate to the Assets/DTG/BR407pack01 folder. and show Electric (Available Stock Panel) I get: BR 407 1.KI Endwagon BR 407 Bordrestaurant BR 407.2 KI Endwagon BR 407.2KI Wagon B and for Passenger : BR 407 1.KI Wagon BR 407.2 KI Servicewagen = Service wagon 2.Class (407.3 MW04) BR 407.2 KI Wagon C BR 407 2.KI Wagon I don't know why it's different in the Available Stock panel vs the Selected Consist Details panel. I'm resolving some issues with the scenario and want to make sure I have the consist set up correctly. I think I have the ends figured out but uncertain about the middle. BR407 End Wagon 1.Clas (407.0 EW01) = BR 407 1.KI Endwagon BR407 Trafo wagon 1.Class (407.1 TW02) = BR 407 1.KI Wagon BR407 Boardbitro 1.Class (407.2 SW03) = BR 407 Bordrestaurant BR407 Service wagon 2.Class (407.3 MW04) BR407 Middle wagon 2.Class (407.8 MW05) BR407 Inverter Wagon 2.Class (407.7 SW06) BR407 Trafo Wagon 2.Clas (407.6 TW07) = BR 407.2KI Wagon B BR407 End wagon 2.Class (407.5 EW08) = BR 407.2 KI Endwagon I did a search of the forum and didn't see anyone else with the question. Thanks for any help!
As I read this the train in the Scenario is a BR 407 and you are replacing it with a BR 407? Are you confusing it with the BR 406 and which Scenario is it?
Thanks Peter for responding - you saved my $#@ before! It's my own scenario for a different route (Freiburg - Basel Reloaded). I originally had the Freiburg Basel ICE, and wanted to use an newer ICE. The train in the scenario is the ICE 1. When I try to replace it with the ICE 3 (407) the consist naming is different than what's in the consist that uses the same consist in Frankfurt High Speed - that's what I above - different names for the wagons in the two TS-Tools panels. Frankfurt High Speed ICE 3 407 2217 consist for career scenario [407] 02. Two Helpings of ICE (I'm using that as a "correct" way to use this consist). See attached. Same file location. So I'm trying to match the names TS-Tools provides for Available Stock FOR THE SAME ITEMS in Consist Details so I can figure out the correct sequence for the wagons. That different naming has me confused on how to match it up so I can use it in my scenario where I am replacing the 402 with the 407 full set. (I just showed the Engine set - there is also a Passenger set with the rest of the consist listed above).
Ok when you look at a train like this you need to select EMU in the TS Tools when you create the list That would bring up the other 4 coaches that are not powered but part of the set. the list above shows what the display name is so the BR 407 2.Kl Endwagon is 407_5_EW_8 If you wish to swap the ICE1 for the ICE3 BR407 do it the easy way Go in to Build > Scenarios then pick the route and train This is one I did earlier this is what the scenario looks like in the Editor First move the lead vehicle with the instructions to the next track The click on the consist button on the lower left side and then click on the rest of the coaches and Delete They all go at once instead of working thru the whole train one by one Next place the replacement train on the next track with the consist picker Click on the driver Icon above the vehicles you moved and drag it on to the new train and that takes the instructions with it Then delete the old vehicle and save the scenario Warning - if the train you replace is longer than the original it can cause problems
Perfect. I was trying to use TS-Tools, but have also used Build in TS. Of course after my last post out, I actually did go into Build, and NO TRAINS at all. Not certain what happened in TS-Tools, but it wiped out about 5 hours of work. I’ll just do it mostly in Build and minor tweaking in TS-Tools. Thanks Peter 749006
You might have problems in TS tools swapping the BR401 for the BR407 The Powered vehicles are treated at Locos and the non powered as Passenger Trying to swap types can cause problems Regarding the scenario When you edit a scenario in TS Tools it creates a backup of the original in the Scenario with an extension of .bak Deleting the newer and renaming the older one from scenario.bak to scenario.bin restores it
