The Köln- Aachen version of the talent 2 is broken have tried everything including releasing handbrake and opening and then closing the MCB
Is this happening on every service. What exactly is going on. Any photos? We need more detail so someone can reproduce it
Somethings causing the traction interlock to not release making it impossible to move happened on every service i tried
On ps5, if starting at Aachen it won't release the throttle lock. Seems to work when starting at Koln though
Indeed, this bug seems to effect only the services that start in Aachen. Problem is that the front train of the set does not have a pantograph. Switch to exterior camera, you’ll see that on the front train the panto is missing. The back train does have a panto. Inside this is confirmed on the left hand display. It sais zug 1 has 0kv current, zug 2 has 15kv current. When doing a service starting in Koln, you’ll see that both train have a panto and 15kv current, so those services work just fine. TrainSim-Adam DTG JD can you have the team look into this please.
I see pressure in the Brake Cylinder (2.1). https://forums.dovetailgames.com/attachments/67e7bfdf-9352-4742-b70e-d10f64620128-jpeg.100477/ Until it is zero, you will not get the traction motor to produce torque (throttle is in '8' and no torque).
The way the 442 works (the SKA version) is that the brakes won't release until a certain amount if kN are applied. That can't be done as the pantograph is lowered and can't be raised
Yes, that's true, a couple of notches of the power lever and you'll see the brake cylinder pressure bleed down. Then the trrain will start moving. I somehow missed the part about the pantograph being down and thus the power being unavailable.
have you tried cold starting the DB BR442? That might solve the issue. Otherwise you are hauling a dead weight
DTG JD If a video of this is helpfull: Hentis (antony.henley) encountered this bug in his stream tonight. Look up the nov 29 stream on his Youtube channel. It the first service he tries. There does seem to be a work around: someone in the chat suggested he start on foot and take control of the service, and that worked fine.
Just adding to this thread, I'm on PC (Epic Games) and am seeing the same issue. Any BR442 service starting from Aachen will not move, the half of the train you are sitting in does not have a pantograph. DW
Can't reproduce it on the Steam version either. From Aachen both units had the pantograph raised. I could still apply power although the pantographs were not in contact with the OHLE
Interesting, so it seems like it's not an issue on the Steam version. I tried the same service you did sedevan, and while I have a pantograph on the back half of the train as you did : There is no pantograph at either end of the front half of the train : Like its incorrectly using two pantographless units on each end of that half? Again I'm on the PC\Epic Games version, and it seems every BR442 service originating at Aachen has this problem. I don't see this issue starting from Koln. DW
