Hey everyone, i have a major problem. Everytime i spawn in the Class 37 from West Cornwall Local at this route the locomotive shuts down. After turning it back on the brakes wont come off and it doesnt give any power. No matter which brake mode is selected. Its really frustrating because on other routes this loco works without any problems. Class 37 from tees valley line also works without any problems. Has anybody got the same problem? Im on PS5. Help would be appreciated.
When does it shut down? Afer getting into the driver seat? Rivet screwed up entirely by making the brake selector switch turn automaticly, so here a solution to at least get your brakes released:
1: check engine is running and no traction motors are cutout. 2: ckeck both automatic brake valves are in neutral / shut down 3: check your brake selector is at proper position (for air braked good wagons move the bss to air goods and turn off the exhausters (pull the button into your direction, its above the bss switch!) 4: move the automatic brake valve to running and wait for 72.5 psi in the train pipe 5: turn master key and put reverser into engine only 6: activate aws 7: check the vacum duplex gauges for any remaining vacuum, if yes release by opening the valve below the handbrake. (8: in case you coupled the consist, overcharge the pipe for 1min and wait 3-4min until pressure is back at 72.5psi) I asume your problem is caused by rivets bss turning automatil or wrong position. Remember if your exhausters (vacuum pumps) are on, it will start with the compressor as soon you move the reverser into engine only. It causes the brakes not to release.
There´s a vacuum chamber release valve located near to the feed of the side seat driver. Open and then close it before you change back the brake type. (Which changes by itself for whatever buggy reason)
After checking in TSW2 i found out that the whole loco is bugged. In TSW2 it doesn't shut down and i already have 21 psi in the Brake pipe. Both AWS switches are off. I can release the brakes and drive off with no problems. In TSW 3 the Loco immediately shuts down and i have 0 psi in the brake pipe. After starting the engine and waiting for the brake cylinders to charge up to 75 psi, i got pressure in the brake pipe. After waiting and trying different things like turn the controls off and on for almost 10 mins i finally got power on the Ampmeter and was able to drive off. Totally bugged for me.
Yes for vacuum conditions you need to have exhausters on, and turn the compressor changeover switch. Train pipe has to show 72.5 psi and the vacum will be created when the reverser is in the engine only or forward/backwards position. At 21hg the vacuum brakes should have been relessed. 1. Your loco behaviour sounds very strange to me, im almost certain there is no bug. Have you tried to take over the loco by spawning on foot instead of loading the service from the menu? 2. The brake systems on lcomotives / trains need some time to understand. One of the major positive things in my opinion, where dtg spent time to make it immersive and challenging. 3. On ntp the 47 sometimes wont charge the train pipe at all, took me some time until i found out i have to unisolate & isolate the aws. After that it worked. The funny thing is, thats an official fault procedure on th 47, but not sure devs intended this . My service was 20min late with the parcel train late evening. I like it when things dont go according to plan in tsw.
