For the next installment in this series, we take a look at the now defunct Wimbledon to West Croydon branch line that has been part of the Tramlink system since 2000. This suggestion covers the period prior to 1997 whilst still a heavy rail route. The route as it is today under Tramlink. Some of these stops were not part of the line under BR. Wimbledon Station. Mitcham Junction Station. Beddington Lane Station. Croydon B Power Station. Right beside the line and Purley Way, today this is part of a huge IKEA store. Waddon Marsh Station. West Croydon bay platform terminus.
