I am in Oldenburg on a BR110 and I am supposed to switch cockpits. The instructions say to switch off the break key (my game is German, it says "Stellen Sie den Bremsschlüssel auf Aus".

However, the break key is not accessible. The pointer indicates where the key is, but when I move over it with the mouse, nothing happens, I cannot switch it. I can move the brake levers and any other control, but not the break key.

    Any trick to this?

Is the driver’s brake handle in the ‘off’ position? Otherwise you can’t remove the key.

If this is the scenario where you have to run the loco round, the scripting is a bit broken and not all the instructions necessary to change cabs seem to be sequenced. What becomes the rear cab for the return to Bremen ends up locked out and you can’t go back and try to shut it down again.

I ended up driving back to Bremen at 60 km/h with only Step 1 of braking available.

I had this situation too. Its the scenario "Aber bitte mit Hude".
Arrived in Oldenburg ive had to move the loco from one end to the other end of the consist.
Coupled it and then i was not able to reach the key.... the dynamic brake lever was permanently "in the way".
All brake levers were in the suggested positions.
Ive had an savepoint so i was able to load it again and with the second try (with same steps) it worked.

But i have additional question. Then the train has to go to Bremen and the strange thing is that i had to stop on Wüsting station but the brakes (main brake laver) had no function?
The loco and dynamic brake levers were on off. The train was just rolling and wontad not to stop.
Did ive made an mistake at one point?

This is because the brakes in the leading cab are still conflicting in the rear cab, so the best you can get is minimum reduction. I think Maik Goltz posted in another thread the correct procedure which is quite complex and the scenario does not guide you through each step. Not helped by being forced to change cabs three times rather than one and just propel back onto the stock.

Ok, ive already thought that something is wrong there.... this is what i hate so much, that some procedures are faulty and then everybody has to guess whats the problem. During switching the cabs according to the instructions the loco was able to roll away.
Ive tested my savepoint again and was able to stop with the dynamic brake.
In leading cab set all levers in correct position, went over to the rear cab and basically all brake levers are in correct disabled position.
When i try to activate the rear cab so the brake key cant be moved and the front cab is disabled.

I will restart the scenario to be sure not to mess up something again.

I also had this the other day and couldn't get the key to register. I can't remember if I found a workaround but it was a shoddy scenario I bailed on.
I also had the train roll so left the independent in a little bit

Ok, now i see where the problem is.
When you arrive in Oldenburg, uncouple the consist then you have to go to the point where you must switch the cabs.
There is missing an instruction point which tell you to set the main brake lever to 100%.
When you dont do that, the loco will roll away...that make sense. Here is the fault.

Now ive set the main brake lever at 100% and can then switch the cab. And the brakes work then properly.
