So basically the headlights for US trains are wayyyy to dim. They should be around 200,000 candela and need to light up around 2000 to 3000 feet ahead of you. Making it much more realistic at night yes this is how bright these are And then the law about it
I think they are aware. It is a job to do it. Matt Peddleston has commented before. There is a survey end of year by DTG which they will email you on your Dovetail live email. You can also note it there doing the survey.
I made a post too I think it might be in technical reports. They know about it. I am a real world driver and feel this is not realistic, however I did a run on Cajon Pass and it didn't bother me really. I hope it gets fixed.
For the time being, there is a mod that increases the distance and brightness of us headlights. Remember to read the description carefully. It also requires the mod loader
