I’m suggesting to add the brightline train (virgin trains USA) from South Florida. The route might seem short with only 3 stations for now, but there’s so much to see on that route. Plus, I’d think the brightline sc-44s would be fun to drive. There’s also unique features on the line like the Fort Lauderdale train draw bridge and the elevated Miami central station. There could also be a Florida east coast dlc since they run on the same line as brightline.
Nice, as for FEC, DTG would have to deal with some licensing issues (maybe?), as well as for virgin trains USA, but other than that it would be a great and fun route to drive!
As someone who use to work for them and know many of the conductors and the engineers, this would be awesome to see!
I used to attend the All Aboard Florida meetings when high speed rail service using the Florida East Coast Railway mainline was just a concept. The Brightline now exists and is heading west. All goals shall be achieved through excellent planning, innovation, and sheer force of will. An example of innovation is the box-jacking technique that is being used (at this moment) to create a Brightline tunnel under the 528 where the new line is being built just north of leaving the FEC mainline. The Florida East Coast Railway has an amazing future ahead by hosting Brightline service as well as the huge increase in container business brought on by the recent widening of the Panama Canal. Port Everglades and the Port of Miami load containers on and off FEC trains constantly. Location is everything in the transportation business! DTG should seriously consider modeling the Florida East Coast Railway Mainline with the Brightline trains. Big Things are happening in Florida! Richard
Would love to see Brightline in TSW2, because of the new and unique trains. But i maybe think they should wait until the line is finished with the extension to Orlando and Tampa. Also isnt Virgin out of Brightline again, think i saw a youtube video about that
