I mentioned similar phenomena in this thread. This time, spotted (regularly) on HHL. Every time in the same place (tiles border?). "Ice Night" scenario in this example. Pics below - westbound train, shortly after leaving Lübeck. Dark into Bright. Is hell bordering heaven somewhere in northern Germany? BR o7
From the Hamburg side, the same situation. Suddenly it gets very bright in the countryside /o\ As if the center of the map had a completely different global lighting than tiles with Lübeck & Hamburg.
I think there was a thread where someone (londonmidland I think) did a timelapse of a route doing into the night and it got dark and after that turned brighter, the problem probably isn't the tile you're on, but time itself and it might not be exclusive to one route.
These events that I have presented are two separate runs, at completely different times of the day. They are separated by about 4 hours I am puzzled. EDIT Maybe this lighting change occurs every 4 hours. I am not alone ~ 9:50
Additional thoughts: > pitch-black in-cab = much more atmospheric > the environment in bright version = better playable Final question - what exactly is that? BR o7 EDIT It probably depends on the cloud level and has something to do with dynamic weather. Perhaps these clouds dependent lighting changes are so drastic. BR o7
