The Class 700 Is Out But This Route Is Needed For TSW3 That Already Is In TS 2022 28363602605_30293ea949 by stanleynavarro1056 posted Jul 28, 2023 at 9:01 PM
Not really a possible route - way to long with way too much traffic, BML is already buggy and has over 1000 services, how many would this have?
I'm down for a massive BML extension dont get me wrong - I love the South London Thameslink route for TSC (brighton-bedford but with the SLL) and it'd be great. I just don't see it possible.
If it's not possible now, it might be possible in the future of TSW If DTG has the resources If the Bedford section was included in a London commuter remake!!!
It's just way to much time and whatnot - they have the resources and DESPITE COMMON BELEIF - OLD GEN DOSEN'T ACTUALLY HOLD BACK TSW.
Personally I agree to have a different route for the class 700 to run on, though it is still nice to have it in SEHS. Thameslink core is a big part of Thameslink (obviously) and it runs on ATO. This is quite a big deal since this is the first mainline train to have ATO. This would bring a whole new system into TSW, and could be nice just to sit back and watch the trains pass through the core by itself then take over once through. I guess manual control could also be added just in case some players prefer that. This will bring an immersive and realistic playing style. But enough waffle about the core, about the route it could run on. I think something like Brighton to Cambridge would be nice especially seeing Cambridge being added as a station because it is quite a nice station. Before I also get people telling me the route is too long, I just want to clarify that I think the route should start from East Croydon, up to Cambridge as it will require a power change from DC to AC and it will be pretty cool entering the Thameslink core. There are obviously more routes that the 700 could run on but this is my take on a route for the class 700 to have a good run. Not to make this like a suggestion but I also am, just wanted to expand on what Stanley may have tried to interpret.
The route would be too long to add, and we have BML. While we don’t have Thameslink in it, it’s for a reason.
Is that for all of it or just thameslink. That's like nearly 2500 services which is a huge HUGE number.
If length is the issue, why not just Bedford to Blackfriars or London Bridge? It seems a waste to have Thameslink trains and no routes that go through London and cross the Thames.
