As the title says, I cannot get gold for this service. All safety system ON, no overspeed, precise stops, and yet I'm nowhere near gold. Is there any trick? This is the only service that is not gold on this journey. BTW, this is the service where you have to decouple trains in the beginning, after decoupling you have a task to stop at Brighton platform 3, which is just 5 yards ahead, and when I take a seat in the front train cab, there is a warning about abandoning service or something. Cancelling the warning does nothing, objective still asks to stop at Brighton platform 3, confirming the warning, again, does nothing, I take the seat and then drive this 5 yards and stop. On the second screenshot nothing tells that I abandoned somerhing.
Yep it’s not achievable, 12,750 is the most you can get I think. This route doesn’t count though safety systems etc. its the old scoring system, but for some reason the points have changed as it used to be achievable.
If only someone had made a giangatic list of all services that had these issues and called it "unobtainable Golds" collating it all in a useful place for DTG to adjust the scoring issues. Wait that ship already sailed and got sunk It's one of those frustrating things, why offer gold medals and achievements for completing things to gold when half of the services aren't able to be completed to gold in the first place. It's such a frustrating especially for the older content.
If you are on a pc, the revised timetable that is available as a mod, has the updated scoring system in it, though it does not address scenarios, so this issue would not be fixed.
Thanks for your replies. It’s sad to know. Very frustrating that the only one service is bugged and doesn’t allow me to get gold for the whole journey
If you really really want the gold, you can run up and down between two signals before the last stop so you get extra points for miles driven but don't lose too many for arriving late at too many stops. It would be nuts and I'd never do it, but that way you can get enough points. Make sure not to SPAD though. You get 30 points for about every 400 meters driven so you 'd have to make an extra 13.6 km's for the 1150 points you're missing. Plus some extra for the points lost for arriving late at your final destination. TLDR: don't try this at home
