Brighton Mainline really need a remaster like other routes from TSW2 and 3 be great if it did ones of reasons is for a remaster that you could have Player 700 for Timetable and new lighting and it could have extension to Like to ever like London Bridge to Sutton and over lines what you all think

I'm not sure about an extension as it is already pretty substantial with over 1,400 playable services with all layers. I will definitely stand for the idea that it does need an update though. Perhaps the Cathcart and Boston Sprinter treatment, not an extension but a route overhaul accompanied by a new loco pack. Perhaps the much needed 12 car 700?

would be great to get a remaster and extension to London Bridge with the 700, so you get a fuller Thameslink run down to Brighton rather than starting in East Croydon.

Another one I think would be pretty credible is joining up East Coastway to BML so it's one big route, connected at Brighton, but also with the brnach off from Wivelsfield down to Lewes... that way you could get Victoria to Eastbourne services for the full length and it would be a way of upgrading both routes at the same time and bringing them together into a super route without that much of a new section, so more could be done to update, fix any underlying performance issues, get the 700 in etc...

Despite having a stupendously large number of services, I have yet to find a single London Bridge service that heads down south to Brighton. I don't think Southern run these now, but I am fairly sure they used to...

In all seriousness, Joe did a fantastic job with the timetable, the scenery is spot on for the route, the locos a brilliant - an example of the brilliance of DTG's developers.

Oh dear, I appear to have gone off on a BML praise tangent. Back to the topic.

A remaster for TOD4 would be very welcome - the route is much too dark in the daytime and much too bright in the night. While they are at it, they might be able to fix the freight speed limits - you cannot rely on the speed limit signs at all! Perhaps, if we're lucky, they could sort out the memory issues that plague the route (I think because of the third rail being solid).

Perhaps they could do something like Cathcart and sell a Class 455 loco DLC alongside the remaster.

Still, London Commuter is brilliant as it is.

This is my favorite route with the pc available schedule mod that has the 700 Thames Link services. Could use that touch to bring it to the latest ToD4 standards. This poor route seems to be DTG's stepchild ever since it was released.

It was certainly the stepchild of TSW2 Rush Hour. The only one of the three yet to be upgraded. Boston was upgraded alongside the Acela release and Riesa - Dresden was upgraded alongside the Vectron release.

Route doesn't need an extension. All it needs is to be brought up to current standards with the Class 700 added.

This is my favourite route for TSW for so many reasons. An upgraded BML would be great but the mod that you can download to add services is already amazing. Extensions? I'll have to admit an extension to London Bridge or Lewes would be excellent but there are some small branches that could further add variety to an already great route.

I definitely feel it needs a TOD4 upgrade. It is far too dark, I think it seems to be worse of all the TSW2 routes for lighting.

Would also love to see a class 700 layer. Luckily for us PC users there is the community timetable.

While any of the extensions discussed here would of course be welcome, it is the 700 in the timetable that I’d love most. Brighton just doesn’t feel quite right without them. While getting the full 12-car FLU would be nice, I’d be more than happy to just have the current RLU fill in for everything if it means finally having Thameslink on BML.

BML needs an update but an extension and certainly an ECW merger are very pie in the sky.

BML can hardly cope as is - the entire update would be optimisation and even then the obvious question of "will the 700 work" isn't very promising.

BML already has 1400 services so the 700 isn't exactly going to revolutionise it like the 380 on Cathcart, even if it will add a lot of variety on the central section. (Ignoring that we only have the /0).

All for a remaster, but I don't see it happening without a loco DLC (which I don't see happening, ever) or a passion project (which I doubt, because of it's sheer scale).

And I would rather they didn't take a chance on the 700 unless they're 100% certain it will work - I like my routes when they don't send me to my home screen.

Would love to see a proper BML remaster/rework to mainly bring in the official rush hour experience, fix the multitude of bugs and performance issues as well as bring in some of the newer tech and TOD4.

The timetable that we have on pc, via the mod, could certainly overload a console. It runs fine on my pc and includes both types of 400s and the full timetable from several years ago. It is so busy, you are luck if you can get from end point to endpoint without getting caught behind another train and have to run on its yellows. Seems that the moder of this timetable created a 12 car version.

This route is still my most played despite not touching for quite some time, for the longed time it was the only experience in TSW (imo) that reflected what a railway really feels like.

It would be nice if DTG would come back & update it with the current set of features. I personally dont see the need for extensions for it, it’s self contained & does what it says on the tin.

The one thing I would say it needs is some rolling stock variety & whilst most people want to see the 700 (I do agree it’s a pretty big omission), something to run the full route other than an Electrostar would be my choice. A 442 or Juniper comes to mind.

Could even go back a little bit & do some 421’s/319’s etc.

The core experience of it is there, some alternate rolling stock, tidying up around the edges & bringing it in line with current DLC is the way to go IMO.

one of my favs cos it offers so much content, many different routings and stopping patterns, with nice variety in speed changes, changing tracks etc. :) ... not sure if it needs a remaster or extension, but if it received some additional content, I mean, why the hell not :) would love that

Definitely one of my most played routes! Would be great to see an upgrade / extension and add the class 700 . It should really have the 700 , as this is one of the main trains on the real life route .
