Since HSTs are no longer running out of Paddington, and the class 166 is starting to get old, we need an updated route with class 801s and 387s. I would even be happy to pay if it was apaid upgrade to include these new locos.
I'm not really sure how much this is likely. On one hand yeah separate upgraded routes do enfact exist iow is good to note, I'm not sure how possible this is as this would be a full on electrification of the entire route + if it was just paddington- reading most people prefer hsts to hiatchis (people I've asked anyway) so most people wouldn't really care unless y'know the route gets extended for modernised to say Oxford or something.
It's great but I think otherwise and that's just my opinion. I think it's better to move to new regions rather than to keep on improving existing routes. This would be a good route at some point but not now. Another thing is that the current route we have in game makes the route a different experience. It's not like most uk routes where you have an emu and just brake fast and accelerate fast. On here, you get 3 well done diesel trains that have unique driving experiences. Obviously nothing beats the br era locos and dmus. So while I support this suggestion I would prefer if other newer routes get made like another section of the gwe line perhaps
That's a good idea, along that we need an free update for normal GWE to fix the 00000 as Class 43 numbering!
Southeastern High Speed got a complete revamp only a short time after release, for which I am grateful. However, little if anything has been done to improve GWE. I would be happy to pay for a new version with either full diesel or fully electrified route as 2015 (currently represented) was a weird limbo period. If a new version ever were to be made, it absolutely needs to have ALL of the branches between Paddington and Reading included for both freight and passenger services. Even if this is deemed as unworthy, the least we deserve is the Class 165/1 and Class 180 to fill out more services and as a better representation of the route at that time. Please please please DTG or any of the third party developers. Much requested and with the branches we could visit some nice locations off the main line.
I would like to see the Thames Valley branch lines added as an extension of sorts, but I would like to GWE keep the era it has in-game. It's very unique and, whilst it limits DLC potential, it offers that under construction environment you don't see in many other places in TSW. Also, GWR are supposedly no longer talking to DTG.
