Will they ever bring back midnight release. That was actually the thing back in the day. We all would stay up for midnight then we would actually get into the game that same day. Console PC Steam etc. so what do you say. is it a go for midnight release. Do yall think the days of waiting is over. What do yall say midnight release or what. Did you enjoyed midnight release. And was midnight release fun.
Midnight in the UK is 4pm previous day in Washington State where Steam is located. How do you square that circle?
Hello - The current timings we support are the best way for our teams in the UK, and for our platform partners team in the US, to both cover and support key launch windows at the same time. As a note, as most of our teams work in UK time (BST), it also means we're more able and active to support players during an afternoon-evening shift, as compared to working later into the night. Imo, an ideal world would sync up console and PC timing, but I think a couple of hours apart is the next best alternative.
I don’t think it’s ever been a midnight release on Steam. Whatever day OP wants us to go back to, is in their head.
All i remembered at midnight release everyone was up in hands ready to play at midnight and I for sure was one of them. I don’t know how the setup around the world works on all platforms but it seem to work at that time. All I know everyone was happy and ready to go in on it at midnight. I think there was a few moments of errors sorta due to overload on downloads. But at midnight guessing that ppl would stay up throughout the night glued to the screen while while playing TSW. needless to say work in the morning as well. But it was all to good I enjoyed it.
I remember standing in line at the computer store before the midnight release of Windows 95. Oh the excitement and anticipation !!Start me up
You can simulate a midnight release by waiting for the first midnight after the release, which is tonight. DTG get to release the game when it is best for them and you still get your midnight release. Don’t be tempted to jump the gun, you must wait until midnight tonight otherwise it doesn’t work.
