Can we get some the TSC legacy exclusive routes and locos brought over to TSW?? Please. Really running low on new worthwhile content, and can we get all of our past preorder exclusive decals from past TSW pre orders to carry over to TSW 5. Pretty ridiculous to market something as a boon that should be able to be inherited to new versions and not do so.

Because it's not as easy as porting routes, assets and locomotives from 1 game to another. They run of different game engines. There would be tons of work even trying that, or DTG would also just restart from scratch

Two different games built on two different engines. Not as simple as porting one to the other.

Anything from TSC would need to be recreated from scratch to appear in TSW for that reason.

There are already routes from TSC in TSW. Also, if they started just making routes from TSC you’d get a lot of people complaining that they’re just copying and not making anything new, we need a balance.

Well one of the TSC greats is coming to TSW soon, WCML over Shap by Just Trains.

However DTG themselves seem to have little interest in following suit, so you can probably write off other classics such as Weardale, Western Scotland Lines or the West Highland various sections.

Who said anything about porting? Pretty sure that's not what I wrote. They don't necessarily need to start completely from scratch. They have their past work as reference. Needless to say, it makes no sense for one company to divide their resources and produce what should be AAA games, but consistently pulling up C's

TSW is definitely not an AAA game. It will never be one and it doesn't need to be one.

Dovetail isn't nearly as big as rockstar or EA.
Also what exact routes or locos from tsc do you want to see in tsw? That would help.

Triple AAA was meant as quality. Not size of production studio. My point is, if they're going to charge AAA prices for content, the quality needs to be there. I'm not too particular, with what TSC routes they choose to emulate. It that lack of content to previous years, and content that was alluded to back in TSW 4 early on and come to find out may never even make it into TSW 5 goes to show that their new owners need to increase the funding and let them hire more staff. Yes I gripe a lot and they are valid. My intent is not to put all the blame on DTG, but to get them pissed enough to stand up to their bosses. As for trying to compare them to EA, or Rockstar. I'm not so mean as to do that. EA's products have mostly been lackluster outside of sports and pretty much any IPs that they once had that were good, great they murdered ( NFS, Battlefield, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc). Rockstar isn't much better as they pretty much have two franchises and take a decade between making new additions to them. Their remasters are atrocious when they could've been gold, but chose to use mobile versions to redo for console ala gta trilogy.

Many of the BR Classic or even steam era TSC routes (mindful though of DTG’s stance on the latter) would serve nicely innTSW. Obviously we’re getting Shappie but WCML North, WLOS, Weardale and Woodhead with a well done Class 76 would be marvellous. Riviera Line but set in the 70’s with the addition of a Warship and Class 120 DMU. West Highland or Kyle Lines, North Wales Coast, Marches and S&C could also come across nicely.

I enjoy playing TSC but it does have its frustrations and lack of flexibility that TSW, when it works properly, can impart.
