I don't know if this has already been suggested before, but I'd like to see the Class 68 in TSW. There is also the similar Class 88 and Class 93, both electro diesels and all 3 units boasting top speeds of at least 100 mph
the 68s are my favourite modern diesel class thus I was agree 100% but for what route and in what livery/liveries??
I'm not sure which routes these mainly operate on around the UK, but from what I've dug up I've heard Chiltern Mainline and then you have the TransPennine Express routes (both with their own liveries including the pic I've attached). But even if it's not these routes that get added in TSW4, they could add the 68 on the same routes that the Class 66 operates on, albeit faster. But as these also come with a diesel engine as well, it can be flexible with any routes that don't have electrification
Great idea it would be so good in creators club because I think there will be Stepford County railway libery in sharing hub
the Fife circle line has just been announced. I know scotrail don't run them anymore but they would be brilliant as a loco dlc to the fife circle line for the peak hour services plus the MK2 coaches.
I wonder if the new UK loco (4-6 months).by DTG might be a 68? Would be amazing if it is. I fear however, it might be a drs 66 with Tesco wagons for the Goblin line.
Would be cheeky for them to advertise a 66 as a new loco. New livery, yes, but we've had so many iterations of the 66 before. I'm really hoping it's a 91!
Would love it to be the 68, but as trackingtrains said it may be a 91. I cannot decide which one I'd rather have lol
Fully agree, the 91 would be great as would a OA IET (Hull trains 802/lumo 802 etc). The ECML is also missing some Northern traffic around Doncaster. The southern end is fairly good though with the EMT 158 and TL 700. Personally I just look forward to something else to drive and hope it is actually a loco and one that actually runs the routes, I fear we will get a Class 60 in DB red and it appears on goblin freight and ECML only.
All depends if dtg have the license or Rivet. And if the license is for use of the logo and plain blue livery, or the brand in general. Lots of factors still at play. Given however the fact ScotRail clearly don't object to the brand being used, a ScotRail 68 MK2 set would be perfect for the fife circle line.
This could be a neat DLC for fife circle. Though it would have to come with it's own separate timetable as the 68's didn't operate in the era the TSW fife circle is set in.
No but the class 68 didn't run when the class 385's were in service and it appears the class 385 will layer at Waverly so yea, kinda. Based on speculation based on the teaser.
