Hi - Just a quick question - Does anyone have any knowledge of good UK magizines. Ive always loved magizines as a way to find out news but there are so many to pick from so does anyone have any idea on this topic?
The Railway Magazine is the OG one. Been going for well over for a century and I'm lucky in that my dad has access to the entire collection. It's always a decent read, plenty of news to read as well as articles that should be of interest whether you're a fan of modern or classic railways.
I personally like RAIL magazines and they contain plenty of railway news and come out every fortnight with digital or paper copies There is also a paid subscription that you could use if it turns out you like RAIL
Steam Railway are pretty good, they tell you the rail advent in heritage railways around the country, some have ticket giveaways, railway news, Hattons train products and more.
+1 for Railway Magazine. I also subscribe to Today's Railways UK which has a mix of modern traction news and features. Modern Locomotives Illustrated is more feature based and features a variety of interesting subjects.
I'm a fan of Key Publishing's "Bookazines". My local Barnes & Noble stores stock them; they're pretty good quality and have some fantastic photos and reference information. https://shop.keypublishing.com/collections/rail-specials
You mean specifically "The Railway Magazine? Because there is also a completely different magazine called "Rail Magazine".
