Once again we've had a core update that was supposed to fix the settings so that they stay as we set them and once again it doesn't work! In HUD & Gameplay I have the stop marker set to off (those coloured blocks on the track) and in services they are off (so that bit does actually work at last) BUT the stop markers are STILL there in training modules so turning them off isn't working as it should because in my eyes turning thing off should be across every part of the game, not overridden because it's a training module. Those bloody irritating player notifs don't stay off either (the red triangle ones that pop up every second to tell you to turn on DSD in the Blackpool 47 despite you turning it on when you activated AWS) you still have to turn those things off every time you load the game so that part doesn't work! Who knows, maybe around TSW 10 DTG might figure out how to save settings as we set them permanently like every other game has been doing since the days of the memory card in the Sega Saturn

The track monitor still turns itself back on when I come on the game even though I previously turned it off

Hud markers still being on in training modules has been a part of tsw since the beginning for all platforms, not because of the recent core update

Yes I know BUT if you turn them off in settings then like I stated they should be off across the whole game!
The update is a complete failure anyway because those same stop markers were back on when I got to the first stop in the 465 scenario "Temporary Contract" ( the one you have to do to unlock the GWB: Moving up a Gear achievement)

Scenarios (including Training modules) turn on many things such as HUD items deliberately. Nothing to do with a core fix. They also turn off/disable many of the more complex train features and sometimes won't even let you do things out of order. You're reading too much into the change.

Rail driver assist is still on when restarting the game, setting it to off is still not stored by the game.

The stop markers on the ground always turn back on when you get a training module. Has been complained about but nothing gets done. You can turn them off again easily enough, just a PITA to have to keep doing so.

Totally agree. The fact that those and the Rail Driver assist isn't saved means that this core update just like all of the others that are supposed to fix the settings is broken. If we have to constantly go into settings to change things everytime we start the game then the update has as usual failed

It might be better if DTG released patches every 3 months or something.

At least then they would only break things 4 times a year, instead of every other week.

    Hello everyone,

I appreciate the feedback about the Rail Driver Assist and Stop Marker settings remaining enabled, can I check which platform of TSW you are using please?

From our update announcement, we are still awaiting to ship these improvements to PlayStation platforms and they won't receive these updates until March 19th.

Yes, if you are a player on PlayStation the patch is planned to be released on March 19th.

Thank you for mentioning this, I will flag to the team.

Hello, for clarity from confirming with the development team, the Rail Driver Assist and Stop Marker HUD settings weren't included in this set of improvements, so we weren't expecting them to be addressed with this patch.

That being said, I've raised both of these issues with individual tickets to be looked at for an upcoming patch, thank you everyone.
