Maik, with the announcement of TSW5, I wanted to inquire again about the possibility of getting the broken G6 journey mode services fixed (G6-Sh04 Prepare an intermodal consist and G6-Sh05 Collect and prepare Sggmrss). You previously stated that these bugs were "better not to touch at all". Current and future purchasers of the G6 DLC disagree with this sentiment and would like to see these bugs get fixed. We are unable to complete the G6 journey mode because of them. What can we do to get them fixed? Can I pay a fee for them to be fixed? Should we crowdsource a GoFundMe? I just want to figure out how we can get these bugs fixed once and for all.

Complaints about these SPADs were reported within 6 months of the DLC release:

Players have been reporting and complaining about these issues for over 2 years with no resolution.

DTG-Chris, it seems like there has been more of a concerted effort on the DTG side to get broken services/scenarios fixed in the past year. Is there anything that DTG can do for us to expedite a resolution to these issues? Thank you!

The Sh05 might be down to a signalling issue with the route which is then up to DTG to fix, but not holding my breath at this stage.

Maybe the best thing is for someone to just remove the dud elements from Journey Mode so at least it can be completed though again, old stuff now seems to lay largely forgotten, by both DTG and TSG.

Good question, no idea. I invested already a lot of time to get the idea what is wrong there since TSW3 (remember, the loco was for TSW2 and there it all works fine still) but with no result yet. Last information i got is that it may lay down to the wagons and their coupler settings. Needs to be tested out. And no, i can't remove the services. That would even make more work that fixing the broken stuff after it was found. No time for that at the moment as you may can imagine^^. I know, it's not a best outcome, not for player nor for me, but there are things that can't be solved the easy way, even if it might look it would be easy to fix.

As I've already written in a similar thread, if this is merely from an achievement collection standpoint, it is at least possible to cheat-complete it using tools such as the godmode mod and cheat engine. Which I usually have no qualms about doing if it's as an extreme measure to get around an otherwise unfixable (or unfixed) bug, myself.

Of course, I'm saying this just as info if the collectionism side were to be the ultimate scope of yours. If the objective was genuinely wanting to go all the way through scenarios that you justly paid for, yeah I agree that it is a damn shame and shouldn't be excused.

I am on a mission to complete every Journey Mode chapter in the game. I wouldn't have any qualms about using mods or cheats to workaround bugs, but I am a PS5 player. I do wish that we had more in-game tools for working around bugs like these.

I recently discovered that sandbox options are now available in Journey Mode services. I spent several hours troubleshooting yesterday and was able to come up with this unbelievable workaround for G6-Sh04. Here are step-by-step instructions for completing "G6-Sh04 Prepare an intermodal consist" in Journey Mode:

    1. Play the service as normal until you are asked to couple with 20 vehicles.
    2. Cozy up next to the 20 vehicles, but do not couple to them.
    3. Get out of the driver’s seat and walk to the end of the 20 vehicle train, near the faulty signal that causes the SPAD bug.
    4. Spawn a train car so that it occupies both sides of the faulty signal. I used an SRM Habbiins, but I’m sure something else will work too.
    5. Make sure to click No if you are prompted to abandon your service.
    6. Return to the driver’s seat, and couple to the 20 vehicles.
    7. Reverse into the SRM Habbiins, couple to it, and stop.
    8. Switch to forward, and drive slowly. Stop the train as soon as the faulty signal turns green.
    9. Switch to reverse, and drive slowly through the faulty signal. The faulty signal will not SPAD this time.
    10. Continue reversing towards Hagen Siding 189, and stop with about 550m remaining. This will give you credit for the stop, and your locomotive should be clear of the switch that you need to access for the final “Stop At” instruction.
    11. Uncouple the train as instructed.
    12. Switch to forward, and proceed to the final stop.
    13. You will be given Journey Mode credit for completing the service!

I am super stoked that I've worked around the Sh04 bug, but I haven't had any luck using the sandbox options to complete Sh05. I'll keep at it, but perhaps someone else can experiment with Sh05 and come up with a workaround!

Bump because I have been working on Sh05 also. I wanted to share what I have found so far in case you are still working on this too. I have found that if I spawn and attach a G6 to the end of the rake, then when I reverse the signal clears, the route is set correctly, and the incorrect SPAD is not triggered. However, I am having some issues finishing the service, because the G6 at the end of the rake prevents the final movement. I am going to try a few things out later but perhaps you can use this information.

    This service is so annoying.

Tried that, but it won't let me spawn anything on the track in front of me (the red "not allowed" box), just on parallel tracks
