A suggestion. Fix them. For example. The Class 220 still has the brakes being stuck at 2bar no matter what bug. You're not a small team of devs. Enough is enough.
That's a straight up lie. Takes them all their time to even acknowledge them, never mind fixing them.
None of you have Football Manager 26 do you? If you want to see what a buggy new game looks like..... I'll translate those bugs into how they would affect TSW. These are just examples, not actual bugs in TSW. * You're mid-drive and you want to change one of the settings. When you go back to the cab, you're back at the start point. * Every time you click on something in the UI it goes to a smaller pop-up screen that requires a lot of scrolling to find what you're looking for. * On PC, the screen won't adapt to a wide screen so you end up with a 1080p window in the middle. * Half of the driving functions have been taken away. * The routes are cut down versions of the real thing to speed-up the game. Maybe FM will be better when out of Beta, but they've got 2 days to turn a Class 14 into a Class 20.
And I'm sure that the SCi forum has people that defend the devs from criticism too... That game in early access being buggy doesn't mean Dovetail get away with not fixing easy to spot bugs. These are not cheap products. Standards have to be higher than 'it's not buggier than a beta'
This. I was originally going to similarly reply to our resident shill but decided it wasn’t worth the digital ink. Not only are bugs not being fixed, each patch seems to be creating fresh ones and now the entire dev and management team appear to have wandered off to worship at the altar of Metro Rivals.
I guess it depends on what system you're playing on and how you used to play the game. I'm finding most of the positive comments are coming from those who aren't on PC, tend to be newer players (unlike crusty old gamers in their 50's like me) and in particular players who like the fact that you can rattle through a league campaign in about 6 hours now. It needed updating, the changeover was always going to have issues. The changes from text to 2D matches, then 2D matches to 3D matches were low points for Sports Interactive. I think it will be a good game next year. But because I'm someone who is a control freak and wants to sort every aspect of the job, slowly go through the season watching full matches, scout players myself, watches the youth & reserve team games and loves a wealth of data to pour over; it's not a good start to the new era. It feels like Football Manager-lite.
The only thing i dont like is the new UI. Im guessing its something i will have to get used to but its a nightmare to negotiate through it
