https://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/24379828.trenitalia-c2c-new-driver-simulator-academy-southend/ c2c have announced a new simulator for their drivers to train them on the class 357 and 720. A shame it’s not something we can see but nice to see the line has been simulated at last.
I was under the assumption that every TOC had a simulator. What other TOCs don't have simulators for all stock and routes? I know South Western Railway have simulators, as does Govia Thameslink Railway, so I assumed they all did.
All tocs have in house simulators. MY TOC have a full size sim to train drivers on both stock and route knowledge.
I wonder if this (as well as other companies in house sims) would be straightforward enough to port over for home PC use? They could make a lot of money from us if they are I reckon.
Yes I’ve often wondered that. For c2c as an example if it was a professional level piece of software with accurate as it can be scenery and trains I’d pay a lot more than £29.99 to buy it.
These are incredibly strange, yet scarily immersive. I had to sit down when I asked how much ours cost and can assure you it won't be something many people will be paying for!
