Turning on cab lights at night seems to cause the surrounding environment, most noticeably the sky to brighten with an orange haze almost as if there's street lighting nearby.

Shouldn't it be the case where sitting in a lit cabin would make it harder to see outside at night compared to an unlit one?

Thats... not how reflections work buddy, for starters those cabin lights are situated above the driver. Not to mention the fact everything gets brighter outside with cab lighting on - If I sit in my car at night and turn on the interior light it's significantly harder to make out detail outside compared to letting your eyes adjust to low light.

Found another thread on the PC bug forum pertaining to the same issue.
