    About
The proposed section of this section spans approximately 123.82 km (76.82 mi). It would have a max speed of 140 km/h (86.99 mph). The network would have 52 stations with an additional 4 not used for these lines. Also included would be the Ekka line in Inner North Brisbane and the NGR maintenance facility at Wulkuraka just west of Ipswich.

Possible Scenarios ideas (assisted by chat gpt)

Scenario Title: Maroon Rush State of Origin Special"

    Type:
    Special Event Train
    Route:
    Kippa-Ring → Miltion
    Duration:
    ~60 minutes
    Time:
    17:30 PM (Evening Peak)
    Weather:
Clear skies, warm and dry (typical Queensland Origin night)

    Briefing:
It’s Game Night in Brisbane—State of Origin at Suncorp Stadium, and the city is buzzing. You're in charge of a 6-car NGR express special from Kippa-Ring to Roma Street, one of dozens of additional services added to move thousands of fans into the city before kickoff.

With increased congestion across the network, full platforms, and tight signal blocks, your mission is to deliver your passengers safely and on time—without fouling up the fragile pre-match timetable.

Your goal: Run the express as close to schedule as possible while navigating the complexities of an event-night network under pressure. Once complete, proceed to Mayne Yard to stable your unit for the night.

    Scenario Title: Ipswich Inferno
Type: Express Service / Heatwave Restrictions
    Route: Ipswich → Roma Street
    Duration: ~50 minutes
    Time: 14:05 PM (Midday)
    Weather: Extreme heat, 39°C

    Briefing:
With the mercury pushing 39°C, Queensland Rail has imposed heat-speed restrictions on key sections of track between Darra and Milton. You're running an express EMU with limited stops, but will need to keep to restricted speeds to prevent rail stress or buckling. Maintain a smooth service while adjusting to the safety-critical slow zones.

My Other QR lines in this series
Ferny Grove - Beenleigh, Brisbane Airport -varsity Lakes (gold Coast) and Doomben Lines
Shorncliffe - Cleveland Line, Doomben Line & Ekka Loop
