A lot of locos and units, especially the older diesels tend to be too quiet in the cab. Many lack the tread brake rub, running sounds, squeaks and rail flange squeal etc. the class 52 western - no running, no brake rub at all, Class 47 same situation. The class 45 is stunning, lots of brake rub and run sounds, but even then the cab is still quiet compared to real life. Also the Mk1 and mk2 coaches need external brake rub sounds too
The BR 612 is a huge improvement. I was very pleasantly surprised to find my living room vibrating like a train actually would. Until I drove that one I had always been underwhelmed by the sound of the cockpits.
