I know these units have been suggested numerous times here on the forums but here is a more detailed proposal on why these units should be in Train Simulator Classic.

    Class 195
The Diesel version of the Civity Platform. Built between 2017–2020 A total of 58 units have been built with 25 two-car units and 33 three-car units. These units are currently operated by Northern Trains (Previously Arriva Trains Northern) which were built to Replace the Class 142 and Class 144 Pacer DMUs which did not meet modern PRM compliancy laws. These Units operate all over the Northern Trains Network on a variety of services making them very versatile units. The First units entered service on the 1st July 2019.
These units have a maximum speed of 100mph.

    Class 196
Built between 2019–2022 26 of this class were built for West Midlands Railway with the fleet comprising of 12 two-car units and 14 four-car units. These units are Identical to the Class 195s with the exception of the front end being different as the 196s have end gangways. These trains entered service in October 2022 on the Birmingham New Street to Shrewsbury services and eventually on the Birmingham New Street to Hereford services. This is to allow the 23 Class 170/5 fleet to be cascaded to East Midlands Railway to allow the replacement of its Sprinter Fleet. These units have a maximum speed of 100mph.

    Class 197
Built from 2020–present these units are identical to the class 196 but instead the fleet consist of 51 two-car units with 21 being fitted with ETCS for use on the Cambrian coast line and 26 three-car units units with 14 being fitted with First Class seating. Once the whole fleet is constructed these units will replace Transport for Wales entire DMU Fleet currently in service which comprises of Class 150/2s,153s, 158s and 175s. The first units Entered Service on the Conwy Valley Line and followed on by services from Llandudno to Manchester with the eventual rollout of the fleet on Services to Holyhead, Cardiff and West Wales. These units have a maximum speed of 100mph.

    Class 331
The Electric version of the Civity Platform. Built between 2017–2020 A total of 43 units were constructed comprising of 31 three-car units and 12 four-car units. These units share the exact same Bodyshell as the Class 195 units. These units are currently operated by Northern Trains (Previously Arriva Trains Northern) and they work on the Electrified sections of the Northern Trains network. The Three Car Units operate on services on electrified routes from Liverpool Lime Street, Crewe, Manchester, Warrington Bank Quay and Blackpool North with the 4 Car units working on the Leeds Metro services to Doncaster, Bradford Forster Square, Ikley and Skipton. These units Replaced the Class 321/9 and Class 322 EMUs on the Leeds Metro services and currently work along side the Class 319 and Class 323 Units in the north west.
These units have a maximum speed of 100mph.

    Class 397
The High Speed Intercity version of Civity Platform. Constructed between 2017–2019 A total of only 12 of these Five Car Units were built. This units operate for Transpennine Express under the brand of Nova 2 on Services from Liverpool, Manchester and Scotland via the West Coast Mainline. These units replaced the Class 350/4 Desiro Units which have now transferred to London Northwestern Railway. These units differ from the other Civity units as these units have a Intercity style layout compared to the other Civity units and they have a top speed of 125mph despite these units lacking the tilt capabilites of the Class 390 Pendolinos and Class 221 Super Voyagers. An option for up to 22 extra units was available to TransPennine Express, but it was not exercised.

The Scenarios that could come with any of these units could work on a number of routes readily available in Train Simulator which include: North Wales Coastal, West Coast Mainline over Shap, Huddersfield Line, Liverpool to Manchester, South Wales Coastal along with 3rd Party routes such as Chat moss, and the Midland Mainline collection from Just Trains.

While I don't fancy yet another sort-of-local MU, the 397 is lucrative - there is a distinct lack of modern high speed train models. There are some, but diesel is a lot more advertised.
At the very least, a livery pack for the 80x (and 70x) would be nice.
(In contrast, I have to think which ICE version is not modeled.)
Part of the problem might be that routes often model the diesel era, be it ECML-Mid, Edinburgh-Glasgow, or the GWML. Or 3rd rail.

Fun thing about your last picture, it shows automatic block signaling nicely.

Great suggestion, agree with the points made in the suggestion.
The Class 196 could be a new addition to Brimingham New Street to Shrewsbury route (if it's made).
For the Class 195, apart from new scenarios, can be swapped with Class150s in existing scenarios across various routes.
