Tried to play Cajon Pass today. I wanted to practice dynamic braking downhill, so I chose the Summit to San Bernardino service. You spawn in on foot with no drivable locos around. GO via location is 33 miles away. That's a long walk.

ps.. sorry for all the complaints. Honestly, I'd rather just be playing

I tried to load into a Cement service from Victorville to Barstow (maybe barstow to Victorville) and was plonked in a siding near the cement works - just spawned in TTTE and had some fun

The same issue exists across various routes for some reason.

6Y71 on SEHS and 7F26 (Part 1) on WCMLoS come to mind. There's also one on Riviera that does this (that I'm aware of).

Cajon Pass never used to have this issue. Every service loaded properly back when the route was new. Something went wrong at some point that caused this issue to start happening. As a bug in general, and as observed on many routes, it usually happens when the train you are supposed to be driving isn’t yet in the place it’s supposed to be for that service or is missing altogether, and the strangest thing is that the place you spawn on foot seems to be random, not the place the service is supposed to start from. In some cases you can fast travel to the correct starting point and find the train you were supposed to drive but if it’s completely missing then you’re out of luck and must choose something else. You can also try spawning in the right place a few minutes before the service starts to see if it turns up but if it’s a service that has a range of locos possible you have to take which one turns up. I used this method for a freight service on KWG but it kept turning up with old locos that don’t have working LZB so I gave up after three attempts.
