I am a PC user, got the game on Steam, Here is a list of some issues with Cajon Pass, (EDIT)- After taking a train down the grade, I noticed the ES44C4's dynamic brakes are extremely underpowered, they cant hold a 5000 ton train with 5 units in DB8, That is really really unrealistic and needs to be fixed ASAP. I really hope that DTG see this as with all these issues fixed it would be so much better. (EDIT)- There seems to be some weird artifacting on the route as well, for a frame or two everything looks moves out of place, it happens worse when raining, reverting to vanilla did not fix the problem, and the snow overlay is super glitchy as well in more than a few spots, roads popping in and out in Barstow yard, switch stands flashing between snowy and clean, as well for the snow kick up effect, everything looks good except the car right in front of you, it has a glitchy shadow effect on the bottom of the car, I saw this in the preview. -There is no working Flow gauges, and the one in the SD40 is completely broken, this along with the accelerometer are a big deal, they add a lot to immersion as well as being able to handle your train realistically. I would like DTG to focus on these first. - There is no accelerometer in the ES44C4, The SD40 does have one and it works fine. - Trains are extremely short, Locals I understand but I'm getting 4,000ft manifest trains if I'm lucky, some as short as 18 cars, I know weight plays a role but we should have 8,000ft trains like in Sherman Hill, it honestly feels like a huge let down from Sherman Hill. - Gates that don't work but this was stated in there post. - When heading towards Barstow, there are a more than a few spots where the distant mountains stop rendering halfway through, leaving a really bad looking background. - Few places that have floating scenery, this I will make a ticket about with specific locations. - Cars that are floating as they drive along the roadway, I will also put this in the ticket above. Overall I am enjoying the game, and the new lighting system is a huge step up in my opinion using a HDR screen, I just hope the issues above can be fixed to increase my enjoyment of the game, especially the Flow and accelerometer, (EDIT) and especially the dynamic brakes on the ES44C4 being so underpowered.
I can add one more to that list. Everytime there are helper/DPU engines at the rear end of the train, the EOT Move indicator didn't lit up, in Sherman Hill it does.
