Stuttering and low performance on cajon pass on the playstation 5. Low fps and just not smooth even just looking around up down left and right it's not nice to play. I downloaded this route yesterday to see what it was like. What a disappointment. It looks like the new train sim world 3 routes on ps5 are just poorly optimized

I have worse performance on this one too on PC than on lets say Kassel-Wuerzburg. Funny enough it is much more empty than the German route and textures are terrible. Looks like an early 2000s ground textures from ArmA or so...definitely bad. And I have set everything on High-Ultra.

That's cuz there are a lot of assets and new stuff like lighting, dynamic weather, etc that can bring down your performance significantly. Even worse in yards cuz of how massive they are. As routes get more detailed and busy, you can get lower performance

Depends on how well the optimization and how dtg improves performance. The routes are still playable. It's not like it's terrible performance everywhere on the route. Tsw in general has had performance issues from the start

I think there's another thing at play here I believe.
When you play on routes with loads of assets either side of the track the game doesn't immediately I don't think need to draw anything the other side of the trees as you're not seeing it.

When you play an open route the game is rendering a much greater albeit it on first glance less detailed vista.

Sherman hill was the same. It's not as simple as it looks empty, it should run better .
