So i have TSW3 on PS4 and when playing this route no UP AI trains run on their rails what is up with that?
In reality, there is about only 6 "regular" trains that run along the Palmdale cutoff the entire distance, all manifests that originate or terminate at West Colton. Those would be the following.... -MWCRV/MRVWC (West Colton to/from Roseville) -MWCFR/MFRWC (West Colton to/from Fresno) -MWCPD/MPDWC (West Colton to/from Portland) There are a few "special" moves along the line, when I visited the Pass IRL a few weeks ago there was a baretable train (Empty TOFC/Intermodal cars) and a power move along the line. However, most of UPs other traffic to their line via the crossovers and Barstow to Yermo, Las Vegas and beyond are not represented on the route (For some unknown reason).
Blacknred81 Interesting, you'd think you'd see more train because of the yermo to Vegas Subdivision but wow alright you learn new things every day
Like I said, those trains aren't featured in the subbing for whatever reason. No clue why DTG never included those trains.
I think there are very infrequent services run with UP on this route but I don't know the specifics in regard to in game frequency
Could that be because UP yards aren't in the game? I suppose they could stop at the far end Barstow when heading east, but how normal is it for UP trains to pass through BNSF's San Bernadino yard for that to be a logical end point for a service instead of crossing over to their own track after heading down the BNSF main line?
I mean, alot of things aren't really logical for US freight in TSW, UP trains temporarily stopped in Barstow for stoppong or starting services would be more logical that most things DTG does.
There are UP auto rack consists in Barstow Yard and I saw at least one on the move during a recent service run.
Those come with the route though, and are technically BNSF trains. Because DTG never gave us BNSF autoracks for the route.
If you start a scenario at summit you should be able to see a UP train go through. I have only ever seen SD70 ACes though. Never any SD40-2s.
