We are supposed to be getting a Santa Fe RR 1990s Pack for Cajon Pass sometime in the near future. Which locomotive(s) will this pack include? Here's my wishlist for Santa Fe locomotives: -EMD SD75M: -The Santa Fe RR ordered 51 of these big EMDs in early 1996 (#200-250). The SD75M is a variant of EMD's popular SD70M locomotives. The 710 prime movers in these locomotives produced 4300HP rather than 4000HP in the SD70M. Santa Fe's SD75Ms were painted in their flashy red and silver Warbonnet livery for their Superfleet program. -EMD GP60-Series: -EMD's 3800HP GP60-series of four-axle locomotives were the last of the company's 4-axle Geeps. Santa Fe was not the largest owner of EMD GP60-series locomotives. They did have the most variations, though. ATSF rostered 40 of the Spartan Cab GP60s (#4000-4039) that were painted in their blue and yellow freight livery. They also rostered 63 GP60M Wide Cab units (#100-162) painted in the Warbonnet livery. Finally, they rostered 23 cabless GP60Bs (#325-347), also in the Warbonnet livery. The Santa Fe's GP60s were often seen handling fast intermodal and manifest freight trains. The Santa Fe's GP60-series units were delivered in the late 1980s and early 1990s. -GE B40-8 and B40-8W: -Santa Fe rostered 40 of GE's B40-8 diesel locomotives (#7410-7449) that were delivered starting in the late 1980s. These 4000HP locos were painted in ATSF's blue and yellow freight livery. ATSF also rostered 83 B40-8W Wide Cab units (#500-582) painted in the Warbonnet livery. The 4-axle GEs were commonly operated on fast intermodal and manifest freights, often alongside the GP60s. -GE C40-8W/C41-8W: -Santa Fe's Superfleet Warbonnet-liveried Dash-8s were used for heavy freight services. The ATSF rosted 152 of these big GEs (#800-951). They received them in the early 1990s. The final 24 units were uprated to 4135HP instead of 4000HP and were designated C41-8W. -GE C44-9W: -ATSF ordered 100 of GE's popular Dash-9s (#600-699) in the early 1990s. These were among the last locomotives, as well as the SD75Ms, that Santa Fe ordered before the BN/ATSF merger in 1996. -EMD SD40-2: -Santa Fe ordered 187 of EMD's popular and ubiquitous SD40-2 locomotive (#5020-5092 and #5200-5213). The blue/yellow freight livery adorned these locos. Most of these are still in service with BNSF. -Rolling Stock: -Boxcars -TOFCs -Cement Hoppers -Grain Hoppers -Intermodal Well Cars -Tank Cars -Autoracks -Other possible locomotives for 1990s-era Santa Fe: -GP30u -GP35u -SD45(u) -SD45-2(u) -F45/SDF45 -FP45/SDFP45 -SDF40-2 -GP38u -GP39-2 -GP40X -U30C -U36C/SF30C rebuild (basically a C30-7) -C30-7 -B23-7 -B36-7 -U33C -U36C
