For anyone interested the patch today has fixed scoring you now get points for using safety system (Alerter) but still lost all my golds down to silver because they changed how many points you need
Have they done this with any of the other old routes? I’m hoping Köln-Aachen gets this wihh to the new timetable. Currently playing Kassel Wurzburg a lot and there’s a couple of freight services where I’ve missed a gold by as little as 15 points which is very frustrating
Also i wonder if they will sort out the scoring so I get all my gold i had a 100 gold all got down graded to silver or bronze that really did aynoy me all them hours i put into it.
I had 31 golds "downgraded" so I hear you. Unfortunately the opportunity to fix the threshold for gold just came and went with the update that fixed the scoring for "safety systems" (read: alerter). Since it wasn't fixed then, I have no further expectations that it will be fixed at all.
Has anyone done this job Z-LACPHX6-05 from victorville to barstow I've several times and just puts on foot in random places this is on xbox
The number board lights are now finally working. A small detail that I've been waiting for since it launched. January 21st patch notes: Cajon Pass Fixed an issue where safety systems prevented Platinum Medals being given. Fixed an issue with pixellated edges to cab windows. Fixed issue where saving and resuming a game caused banking to stop working. Fixed issue where locomotive number boards did not light up.
I have the same issue on PC. One of the 'on foot' spawn points is Victorville (may need a couple of 'restart service' to get there). I've had this before and just about had enough time to run to the train and 'take over' the service from the AI driver - then it completes. However, this one, i'm about 10 seconds short of time needed. i can board the train, but it's moving by the time i've faffed with doors, then can't take over the moving train. Worst case scenario, i take something else to Victorville, bail out (give up), and then fester until 05:16 where i'll take the service. I'm another one who now has 31 silver badges, that i'm trying to get rid of/upgrade post recent updates.
You can complete this one to Platinum by hijacking the train. Bit harder in the dark. Just uncouple the lead engine while in motion to take control. Then you have to sit in the seat of the second engine to take control and the first engine with the AI driving off will come to a stop. Recouple and proceed on course.
Yes, thats exactly what I did in the end (and was going to post, but you've done it so thanks!). Also used the same tactic for another service i couldn't run to in enough time, but was able to leap up the steps before it got too fast. Thanks to all this faffage I've now completed the backlog and got rid of all the silver medals again.
So I'm guessing they are not gonna sort out the scoring system again so we can get back all our down grade gold medals
One thing I always wondered about Cajon Pass, is it really prototypical that such long, heavy trains would take the short track with such a steep grade?
Still not receiving points for using the safety on the SD70ACe i use the alerter thats all there is or am I missing something thanks.
Well the least steep grade of any of the tracks is 2.2% but it's the longest, so it comes down to time and horsepower. Trains do about 15-20 mph on the 3% and it's shorter.
Guessing depending on the train and weight of it, BNSF would probably keep their trains on track 2 and 3 if preferred, Amtrak I believe solely uses track 1.
Is is not so much going up those grades, since one can assume the motive power department assigns enough HP or TE to make the grade at a certain minimum speed. Going down is more of a challenge and depends on weather, number of active DB axles, train makeup and TOB. Read the very detailed requirements and restrictions in the ETT you can find on the internet. Here is an example: http://www.multimodalways.org/docs/...F ETTs/BNSF CA & LA Divs ETT #3 3-26-2008.pdf
It's not the alerter, it's the cab signaling, which on the SD70 is bugged and has been since Sherman Hill. It hiis you with a penalty brake at 25 mph as if it's an overspeed. Just turn off the cab signaling completely, or turn it off temporarily when you're doing around 25.
When ever do a job now the loco is all set up for you all you have to do is turn banking coms on was always like that i cant remember.
ES44C4 always automaticaly applies full brakes after exceeding 25mph... is that a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Its something to doing with the in cab signaling if you user the alerter its a bug in think but if greens all the then its fine as soon as you get a yellow thats when it start to act up.
This signal bug is really annoying me now you have have turn of alerter about 3 miles from finish point or you just keep keeping penalty brakes sort it out DTG please.
