This isn't the huddersfield line which is already ingame this is a slightly more northern route which is more focused on commuter runs
Hello, and welcome to a new suggestion :) . I've suggested this before but I hope that this thread will a have little bit more detail than the previous. The whole route will measure 54 miles so is hopefully possible, however the scenery might be a challenge (yes this route is also very scenic like the northern-trans pennine). But let's see what trains will run on this route :). And DTG already have northern license so yay.
Class 195- The workhorse of the calder valley line at this time. This is the 'pacer replacer' and has a top of speed of 100mph and does have some beautiful sounding motors . (/0 and /1 should be included).
Class 158- This used to be the workhorse of the calder valley line and has a top speed of 90mph. This can still be seen along the calder valley line however. All that needs the change is the livery from emt to northern.
Class 150 (with /1 included)- These usually do all-stoppers between bradford and huddersfield and out of Manchester.

The extra green line is the bit to brighouse (it wasn't int he original wikipedia map).
    Points of interest
    [IMG]

Milner royd junction- does have a nice viaduct leading up to it.
    Todmorden Viaduct
    [IMG]
    Summit tunnel (2.6km)
Hebden bridge signal box (restored to its operational state)
    Stations
    Leeds
    Bramley
    New Pudsey
Bradford interchange (where all trains reverse
    Low Moor
    Halifax
    Brighouse
    Sowerby Bridge
    Mytholmroyd
    Hebden Bridge
    Todmorden
    Walsden
    Littleborough
    Smithy Bridge
    Rochdale
    Castleton
    Mills hill
    Moston
    Manchester Victoria
    Depot
    [IMG]

Newton Heath TMD (the northern version). Stores most trains.
    Services
    Class 150/2-
Huddersfield to Bradford interchange 1tph (Brighouse to Bradford interchange stopping at: Brighouse, Halifax, Low moor and Bradford interchange).
Class 150/1- Some of these services are done with 156s but they all can be done by a single 150/1 or a pair.
Clitheroe to Rochdale 1tph (Manchester Victoria to Rochdale stopping at: Moston, Mills hill, Castleton and Rochdale.
Blackburn to Headbolt lane 1tph (Todmorden to Manchester victoria stopping at: Littleborough, Smithy Bridge, Rochdale and Manchester Victoria).
Blackburn to Rochdale via bolton 1tph (Manchester Victoria to Rochdale stopping at: Moston, Mills hill, Castleton and Rochdale).
    Class 158-
This very rarely does the Huddersfield to Bradford interchange service.
Halifax to Hull 1tph (Halifax to Leeds stopping at: Bradford interchange (reverse), New pudsey, Bramley, Low Moor and Leeds.
Leeds to Wigan Wallgate via Dewsbury 1tph (Brighouse to Manchester Victoria stopping at: Sowerby Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Walsden, Littleborough, Smithy Bridge, Rochdale and Manchester Victoria).
    Class 195-
Leeds to Chester 1tph (Leeds to Manchester Victoria stopping at: Bramley, New Pudsey, Bradford interchange (reverse), Low Moor, Halifax, Sowerby Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Rochdale and Manchester Victoria).
York to Blackpool North 1tph (Leeds to Hebden Bridge stopping at: New Pudsey, Bradford interchange (reverse), Halifax and Hebden Bridge).
Leeds to Manchester Victoria 1tph (Stopping at: Bramley, New Pudsey, Bradford interchange (reverse), Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Rochdale and Manchester Victoria) This service stops at more places in other services.
Railtours also happen between Manchester Victoria and Brighouse

    Conclusion
This will be a brilliant route for tsw due to not even being in tsc and having a lack of modern unelectrified routes in the game. We don't even have a proper modern DMU yet (which will be the 195 in this case). Also the only modern northern route we have is 12 miles long and very repetitive with the same stopping patterns while on this it can vary quite a lot more. DTG also have the northern license so is very much possible to make this route with the required trains.
    Thanks for reading ;)

Route length is 49.75 miles when broken down it's Leeds to Bradford Interchange and Bradford Interchange to Manchester Victoria.
Some Services here actually combine a 150/2 Manchester Victoria bound with 158s towards Blackpool with the separation occurring at Hebden Bridge.
I wonder if Classes 155 156 can fit here as DLC which is what I did back in 2021.

The 156 could fit on services out of manchester towards rochdale and the 155 could do the odd halifax to hull

Thanks and for longer runs with 156/155 these will combine with 150/2 158. Keep in mind you are actually finishing Cornish Main Line and MML versions in terms of achievement with the Calder Valley Line versions. just like how the Bremen Oldenburg Baureihe 110.3 counts for Linke Rheinstrecke 110.3 Köln Aachen 442 for Dresden 442 KWG 403 for HMA 403 Sand Patch AC4400CW for Cane Creek version. The more recent version we have is KWG 182 future ÖBB Baureihe 1016/1116 for RT 182 1820 km True Taurus and RSN 155 for Bremen 155.

Looks good, I presume u added the line to brighouse so it could connect to the Huddersfield route?

I added it just so you could stretch the legs of the 158 and 150 a bit more, but if route merging is possible at some point it would be a good idea to connect it to ntp

This is a great suggestion, I would like to see the Calder Valley Line in game to see how it contrasts with the Huddersfield Line (NTP) regardless of era :)

Well, how would that work? NTP is a BR period route whereas you're suggesting CVL in the modern era, I see the idea but if you wanted to merge CVL & NTP together, you would have to set CVL either the same year or around the era of NTP for it to really work. The other solution is if they made both the Huddersfield Line and the CVL in the modern day setting, then I see how it works ;)

Absolutely would love this, and very nearly thought about suggesting it myself haha.

While yes it is another commuter line which I know a lot of people dislike, if done correctly the route could be absolutely stunning.

Plus it has that turn back point at Bradford which adds a little variation to the gameplay, as currently only in the Hadfield Line

yep, most commuter lines on the game currently are mostly urban however this one goes through amazing scenery and best of all it's unelectrified!
