i would give anything for this route to be added, leeds to manchester victoria via bradford interchange and halifax. i know it sounds the same as NTP but it would be more modern. and only leeds and manchester would be the same stations. im thinking of a 2000's or 2010's era for this, featuring a combination of these trains: class 142 'pacer' class 144 'pacer' class 158 class 155 the class 158 and 155 could be the main ones for the route - with a pacer add on pack for 12.99 with both the class 142 and 144. the stations on the line would be: Leeds, Bramley, new pudsey, bradford interchange, (no low moor as it is too recent), halifax, sowerby bridge, mytholmroyd, hebden bridge, todmordon, walsden, littleborough, smithy bridge, rochdale, castleton, mills hill, moston and manchester victoria. this would be a perfect addition to the tsw family and i wold apsolutely love it if it was created. it would be a popular route for those like me who love pacers and grew up with them. this route is not too long either, being between 40 and 50 miles similar to NTP. also, i think the line from halifax to brighouse and huddersfield should be made with it as it is pointless terminating the leeds to huddersfield via bradford services at halifax when there is only 2 stations to go. let me know what you think! thanks.
Excellent idea and a feature of these trains are BSI couplers which allows them to run together like Class 155 158 DMU or 155 lead pacer railbus rear. 49 mi from end to end. I've also done this route set in 2021 and there's also a 1980s proposal for this route
Yes, it's a very scenic route, and I have fond memories of playing it on MSTS 1. 158 would be good too as it could be adapted for other routes
