Wish you could zoom further away from the train on the boom camera view (#2). A lot more...similar to Train Simulator. Right now, it is locked in pretty close. You can zoom in a little bit, but not zoom out much at all.

The same goes for the Free Camera (#8) which also serves as the "Drive By" view. Wish it would start out way back from the train, so the "Drive By" experience is a much longer process of watching the train come at you from a distance. Right now, the train is up in your face when you hit the #8 key, and if the train is moving fast, you can't pull back from it in time for a nice long "Drive By" view like in Train Simulator. Drive by views shouldn't be instant rivets in your face, it should be watching a train waaaaay down the tracks coming at you from a distance, and then blowing past you.

I've also always thought that the starting position of the Free Camera was way too close to the front of the train. Just 100m further away would give a better chance to watch it coming, even if only for a few seconds.

The outside cameras for TSW have always been inferior to TS classic. The 8 camera is especially annoying- especially with the high speed routes we now have as there is zero chance to move the camera to a better location.
But I also feel the height of it is troublesome- it’s so close, we get a great view of the roof passing by and that’s it. Would wish it to be somewhat nearer in height to someone standing track side, or as you say far enough ahead so we have a bit of adjustment time. (Console Controllers can’t move the camera very fast)

Also the immersion controls camera buttons often leave the 8 camera watching the tail end of the train disappearing- was said to be ‘on the list’ to look at when TSW2 released. Wish they’d do some of the things that are on that list; small things done add up to greatness.
