Hi I have searched the manual and online for camera operation options. What I cannot find is how to place a static camera for drive by shots, ie from a bridge, track side or platform. Sorry it's a newbie question.
on PC, open the camera options with "0" select Free Cam then move to the location of your choice, and wait for the train to pass, on Xbox with the controller press and hold R Thumb stick to bring up the external camera dialog select Free Cam and do the same to find a good place to park the camera and wait for the train to pass, it's a bit of pain to do this way, but there is no other way I know of and I tried many ways to get good shots, on PC you can increase the camera distance from the train with an engine.ini setting, while staying connected to the train, on console it's limited to what is the default.
Apologies - I should clarify. You can place the camera using methods described by the other posters in this thread. What is gone is the free fast cam that allows you to jump the camera far ahead in distance and see the train zooming past
You are not referring to this are you You can move the camera with the arrow + Shift Keys it can be quick but you need to hold down both, if there was anything other than that, I never saw it.
Which TSW variant is that screenshot from? I didn’t even think that menu was a thing on PS anymore. Is it a PC mod? And yes, I was talking about that one. AFAIR, we used to be able to press and hold on the joystick or something like that and have the camera go shooting ahead, outrunning even the HSTs at 125.
Not a mod every irritation of TSW has this option, On PC it is Number 0 above the letters. On XB it is R Thumb Stick Press & hold I am guessing it's the same on PS R Thumb Stick.
