Hi guys, So I've been having a problem with my 3rd party assets, somehow I messed something up in the folder which resulted in the simulator having an 'hissy fit' in custom consist (saying it was outta memory) and one of my 3rd party DLCs wouldn't load and crashed the Sim saying it couldn't find something. I've cleared out my 3rd party DLCs (and yes I made a what I call, a storage folder for the zip files of each and every one of them) but there's an extra assets folder within the assets folder and so I wondered if I could reset the entire assets folder to it's default state to start over. And for when I go to reinstall my 3rd party DLCs, should I just set the destination as Railworks and if so, will they automatically be placed into the assets folder? Or should I send them to the assets folder? And how would one install the AP Class 390 Sound Pack? Thank you so much for your help, Daz
For the AP Class 390 Sound Pack - look at what you downloaded - it comes with an EXE File. With the other DLC it depends on how you are installing them - if it has an EXE file then point it at Railworks when you install If you have other DLC that does not have an EXE then read the info you got with it as some install differently. There is not a common answer with DLC that does not have an EXE file Some require folders copying and then running a BAT file
Thank you for taking the time to explain this. Will have a fiddle with doing so after I'm done with work. Daz
So I took the plunge and uninstalled and reinstalled TSC which actually solved my out of memory problem. Planning to reinstall my 3rd party add-ons, annoyingly before my Sim got messed up, I couldn't get the Caledonia Works Stirling Single to install properly. :/ Other than that, so far the sim itself is working again.
