Hello! To start with I am sorry if this question has been asked elsewhere! My question is, can distance achievements be gained by any train on any line? For example, for the DBS 66 freight train, could I drive the 660 miles on the TGV line or would it have to be on its native line? My trackers don't seem to be going up for it on the HS1 route. Is this achievement bugs or because of it not being a native line? My achievement trackers normally work quite well but for this there is no progress. Many thanks to any who reply. Nate!
Normally, yes. The loco distance achievements are tied to the loco and sometimes only the route. It will not count distance if you break the speed limits. The Class 66 from East Coastway will also add to it. I have not specifically tried using the GWE version outside of GWE as the East Coastway version is newer. The Xbox trackers can sometimes get out of sync but you can see the distance of every loco in your player profile.
"The Xbox trackers can sometimes get out of sync" Strangely after posting this I did perform a full restart on my Xbox. All achievements are now updated. It does seem to work running different trains on different maps. Just ran the TGV on the HS1 route and it did progress the distance bar. (Wouldn't recommend though, may be High Speed track, but not TGV high speed! ) Thank you for replying so quickly too!
