Hi all! I'm sat watching the July Roadmap and the subject of American routes came up. I see so much in the forums about the supposed neglect of the USA. We have some great routes, but thinks like Canon pass - albeit very famous - get very boring very quicky. Cane Creek, Sherman Hill, just boring as heck. I don't think many of us want to replay a map where we're sat for 2hrs+ going very slowly through desert, through a canyon.

The reason I wanted a computer capable of playing Train Sim games was a video I stumbled on by mistake. It was Canadian Mountain Pass (not sure actual title) on Train Simulator classic. It was clearly quite an old game judging by it's appearance (3 years ago) yet it got my interest immediately. Heavy freight, starting off somewhere down low by a lake, then proceeding to climb the mountain using turnpikes, zig zaggijg your way left to right up a steep mountain. Taking your train into a man made tunnel at the end of each traverse, going through a large, circular turn, then out of the tunnel and along the next traverses - seeing the rest of your mile / 2 mile long train on the level below you, as you power your way up the mountain.

I immediately fell in love with this, I've bought every piece of DLC for TSW on Playstation since then. Nothing has quite scratched that itch, yet. But as USA / Canadian freight action is concerned, this route would be a very unique addition to the game. I've linked video of a similar looking TSC route in this thread.

This route should be added. It's very scenic, with many interesting landmarks. We should get CP Rail/CPKC modern diesel power on this route. I'd suggest the following:
-ES44AC: common on CPKC; the new CPKC livery and orange Hapag-Lloyd livery units should be included
-AC4400CW/AC4400CWM: CPKC has been rebuilding many of their AC4400CWs recently
-SD70ACU: rebuilt SD90-43MACs; ex-UP and CP Rail; military/heritage units should be included
-SD40-2: the ubiquitous EMD SD40-2 would be used for yard and switching duties, along with occasional mainline and local work
    -SD30C-ECO: 50 rebuilt CP SD40-2s with 12-Cylinder 710 Prime Movers and SD45-style flared radiators
-GP20C-ECO: 130 rebuilt CP GP9s with 8-Cylinder 710 Prime Movers; these look like shorter GP60s
-GP38-2/-3: for yard and switching duties

An additional locomotive that could be added as DLCs:
-CP SD40-2F: Cowl-bodied SD40-2; one rebuilt as a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Prototype

Great idea but to speak real will most likely never happen due to the Scale size of the area and distance from one yard to another staging area, the scenery alone would kill console players systems especially in those long-distance canyons where on the PC you can see 20 miles away. One train counting the players would honestly be really boring. Plus, Canadian Pacific isn't licensing anything at the moment that I heard about due to the Teenager that derailed a UP train. Even most Major American Railroads are doing the same, or there doing it for some other reasons unknown. CP isn't America so it's Not that simple as America.

Teenager derails train in Uttar Pradesh
What does this mean? Is the train derailment the fault of DTG games? With so many shootings in the US, why haven't we banned guns and games yet?

Railroad companies since the derailment are being weird is what I'm saying so getting the Licensing just became harder. where you got Gun Control from that is beyond me. Both are two totally different aspects of a situation.
