I received an email last week about the above route. Will this route be available for the PS4?

I do hope it is, as I model Canadian Trains and having this route would give me so much enjoyment.

    Thanks
    Chris

This route is only available on TS21 which is PC based only.

Personally, I hope not, Peace river was an extremely slow route in TS21 with not much to do on it, and would not make a good route for TSW2.

I am thinking that the Yellowhead Pass route might be a better choice

Kicking Horse pass would be good, so I could drive the Canadian or ride in the coaches or somewhere where both CN & CP meet ;)
    Well "I" can hope ;)

Indeed, Peace River was, if I recall correctly, the only Train Simulator route I've refunded. It is by far the most boring route I've seen in Train Simulator, featuring a very boring single line track with very low speed limits.

Canadian Mountain Passes is a nice route, but it's way too long for TSW, and I don't see anyway you could shorten it reasonably to TSW length. Field to Eldon's the most iconic area, and it's not a bad section, but I wouldn't want that on its own. It's basically just point A to B, you've got nothing of note to do except go into some sidings. It would get boring pretty quick if that was all you had of the route. Probably something with Golden or Revelstoke would be much better as you'd have some yard action, but there's no good terminus points near them.

With current length issues I don't think it would be viable, from the little I've seen from Yellowhead I'd reckon the same issue applies to that. Out of the Canadian routes while Peace River's not that popular it's certainly the most doable. Honestly though there's still lots of uncovered ground in Canada that TSW would be able to find something that works a lot better within its limits than any of the TS routes would.
