Any help, please? I did everything in the manual ( switched the controls off on the trailing engine, and set up the lead loco as said there). No help. Then switched off all fuses on the trailing loco wall. No help. It does not react to leading loco throttle, and the leader cannot start alone the in +1.2% grade

Did you turn on banking comm first? Only the loco you driving, you turn on the 3 switches (engine run, gen field, fuel pump), lead, cutin. The locos behind it set up as trail so the 3 switches off, trail and cutout. Only the pusher loco in the rear will react to the throttle to the front.

rennekton#1349 , I don't recall what I exactly did yesterday, but today I finally succeeded. Maybe I just forgot the banking comm. The consist has a lead loco and a pusher, both AC44s. Now I switched the banking comm on on both locomotives. Thanks for answering! :)

You only need to turn on banking comm in the loco you are operating :)
