Is anyone else having the issue of not being able to copy and paste assets on your newly created scenery tile layer, for existing routes?

When copy and pasting assets you've already placed down into the map, it'll paste the newly created asset as an 'ST' asset, instead of an 'SST' asset, which long story short, means any changes you make will NOT save.

The only way to get around this issue is to manually place your assets one by one, by hand. Which takes a CONSIDERABLE amount of time and it is not ideal. Especially if you have to manually adjust its width, length and placement each and every time.

We need a fix for this ASAP.

It has been stated (in multiple topics) that base routes cannot be modified.

They can be, actually. You cannot edit the base route however you can add additional scenery on top of it, within a new layer.

The issue is that you cannot copy and paste assets to quickly populate them over an area. So you have to add each individual asset one by one.

Does Alt+Drag also not work? That's what I tend to use

The issue is that it isn’t that the asset won’t paste, but instead it’ll paste as an ‘ST’ asset, which means it hasn’t actually pasted into the new layer. Once you save your content and re-load, the asset(s) placed will have disappeared.

The only way to get around this is to select the individual assets from the content browser each and every time.

I haven’t tried Alt+drag to see if it works yet.

I see, I just thought that could potentially preserve the binding to the scenery layer, but I also haven't tried it under these particular circumstances :)
