Hello, just bought the BR182 ( the red one ) for TSW3 on PS5 and I cannot get aboard the Loco… I can open the Loco-Door but there will be no tooltip or option to step on board of the Loco. This only happens with the red BR182, the black one from MRCE, which is supplied with Hamburg-Lubeck has no problems and I can enter the Loco as usual. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Tom
Nobody…? I‘ve unistalled the red BR182 ( verkehrsrot ) addon and the „Rapid Transit“ route and reinstalled everything again, the problem however persists. So I cannot even play the training-modules, as I cannot get aboard the loco. When starting a timetable mission within the loco, I cannot get on board the loco again once I‘ve deboarded the loco. Really kind if frustrating… Best regards, Tom
I guess nobody else has the same problem. There´re tons of bugs and broken stuff in TSW, but not his one. It works just fine with me in TSW3 on PS5. (Of course, you´ll later find out that you´ll not be able to drive the CabCar with the 182 pushing at RT, but that´s another thread and a real bug).
Thanks for your reply, Pipe! I‘ve finally found a workaround: in order to board/enter the Loco I have to duck/crouch ( by pressing the left analogue stick on the PS5 controller ) and then the tooltip to enter the Loco appears. So I‘m finally able to get aboard the BR182… Best regards, Tom
Glad it worked for you now. Yet, it sounds strange. The screenshots above were taken without any crouching needed. Just pointing the camera vertically down. Sure, some locos have a quite narrow ´sweet spot´ for certain functions and especially with the console controller it can be a bit fiddly. As a last instance I´d try to walk around the loco and access the ladder from the lower track level.
I have found that the "target area" to get the climb-aboard prompt varies wildly from loco to loco. Sometimes you have to pinpoint a ladder step; on others it's so huge it blanks out the "close door" target.
