Steam (solved, Steam Issue) Can't Download On Steam, "content Unavailable"

Since the update that appeared on the 19th I haven't been able to update or even download TSW on Steam - every time I retry it fails with some variation of 'Content Unavailable', 'Content Servers Unavailable' or 'Corrupt Download'.

Not sure if this is on DTG or Steam's end but I've tried every solution I can think of and the problem seems to be with the update servers themselves. I also made the dumb mistake of uninstalling it thinking I could redownload so now I can't play at all! Any advice?

OP, I have the exact same issue as you.

The problem turned out to be within Steam - in the end I managed to get it to update TSW (and fix other seemingly unrelated issues) by uninstalling the Steam client and removing all of its files (I'm on Linux so that meant removing ~/.steam and ~/.local/share/Steam).
After doing that, reinstalling and setting it up again, everything works fine and TSW reinstalled with no problems. Also, in case it's helpful for someone, I also put all my games on an external drive so I didn't then have to reinstall those too after resetting Steam.

I wish I had a better answer as to exactly why it was behaving so weirdly but at least there is a (reasonably) simple way to fix it!

Sadly not. I tried every suggestion under the sun, but a complete re-install of everything(!) was the only thing that solved it.
