In the summer of 2019, Transport for Wales re-introduced a set of 3 class 37s and BR Blue Mk2F coaches to boost capacity on peak time services from Cardiff Central to Rhymney. This add-on would feature the 37/4s that worked these services in BR Large Logo and Colas liveries, which hauled 14 services at the peak of their modern operations. upload_2025-9-30_17-57-8.jpeg

What would be featured in this add-on?
    • Class 37/4s no 37418 and 37421 in 2019 conditions
    • BR Mk2F BSO, TSO and RFO coaches in BR Blue livery
    • Intensive Valley Lines service featuring 142s and 150s
    • Varied AI traffic at Cardiff Central (66s, 150s, 170s, HSTs, 802s)
    • Coal trains from Heath High Level to Cardiff Central representing services to/from Cwmbargoed

I think for this to be worthwhile, the current route which finishes at Heath HL would need to be extended to Rhymney, where it should have gone in the first place.

Would probably open the door to a backdated version that could be used on the br era routes with some minor changes
