Would be an excellent choice for a route, has a bit of everything in it, plus under an hour in length so easy doable. Has a wonderful viaduct, tunnels, city and towns. Also could include two small spurs one to Penarth and one to Barry island so plenty of varied services which would be easy to complete. I have all the UK routes and think this one would be up there with the best.

Do both routes via the VOG and Llantrisant for variety and maybe the Maesteg branch to round it off nicely.

Visited Maesteg once. Strange town. Couldn’t find a single road sign showing the route out of the place.
