I am going to guess its only counting big, small and spotted bass. We will see shortly. IT DOES POP THE ACHIEVEMENT. YOU HAVE TO COUNT THE WHITE FISH HOOKS NOT THE GOLD ONES.
Ok I caught 1034 of the three types of fish and it has not unlocked. I have expertise the large and the spoted bass but not the small mouth. I have only caught 34 smallmouth bass all together. I think you all need to put a few more small mouth in the game. not sure why it has not popped the achievment yet, all the other fish counts are dead on.
I really should have came back to this. I was adding the wrong set of numbers up, the gold hook with the crown above it. When the totals of the numbers in white reached 1000 it popped. I assume fish under a certain length / weight don't count.
