Celebrate the Centro brand with the first Train Sim World release by Partner Programme Developer SimTrack Studios. Centro Regional Railways Class 323 Add-on is out now! Adding 323221 to the roster Last year, West Midlands Railway decided to apply the 1990s era Centro livery to one of its Class 323 units: no.323221. After a visit to Soho Depot, home of social media’s Hunslet the Bear, the unit re-entered service with its new, nostalgic colours on 19th December 2022. Class 323s were seen in this livery during the 1990s, along with other trains, bus stations and wider transport material produced in the Birmingham and Black Country areas. Commuters of the time will no doubt be familiar with the blue, green and yellow hues, slightly amended for its application on 323221 today. Additional Scenarios and features SimTrack are a new Partner Programme Developer to Train Sim World, making their debut by bringing 323221’s livery to life in-game. You can read a little more about SimTrack in our November Roadmap, where they introduce themselves to the Train Sim World Community. The Class 323 EMU has been a popular addition to Train Sim World, first seeing light in the Birmingham Cross-City route Add-on (required to make use of the Centro 323 Add-on), before appearing again in Glossop Line and in Train Sim World 4’s Training Center, where it is shown with some of the experimental Suspension features coming in a later Core Update. Notable features and updates on SimTrack’s version of the Class 323 include: Centro livery as seen on the real-world 323221 Interactive Stabling Tail Lamp under the driver’s seat, required during two of the additional Scenarios Updated Train Sim World 4 rain effects on the windscreen Toggleable ‘Hunslet the Bear’ sitting in the cab! Hunslet the Bear is Soho Depot’s loveable mascot, seen on social media making rolling stock inspections, receiving units at the depot and even time in the cab! As well as being a collectible along the Birmingham Cross-City route (players are required to provide them with hi-vis jackets), they can now be featured in the cab in-game too as part of the Centro Class 323 Add-on. Five new Scenarios will also be added to Birmingham Cross-City as part of this Add-on, which feature some additions to the environment, including Flashing Emergency Indicators. Some minor updates and improvements to the West Midlands Railway Class 323, such as fixed PIS displays and the Secondman seat now being usable, will also be implemented for Train Sim World 4 players that own Birmingham Cross-City. But that’s not all from SimTrack Studios! Readers of our exciting December Roadmap will have seen a tease for their next bit of Train Sim World content, which should pique (or should that be, ‘peak’) the interest of DMU fans... Centro Regional Railways BR Class 323 Add-on is available now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for £4.99/€5.99/$5.99 Making use of the Add-on and its Scenarios requires Train Sim World 4 and the Train Sim World Compatible: Birmingham Cross-City Line route Add-on. Train Sim World Compatible: Birmingham Cross-City Line: Lichfield - Bromsgrove & Redditch is available separately for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for £29.99/€35.99/$39.99
323221 is the only train to have the livery in reality, and is the only train in game to have the livery. Due to the way the substitution system works, there is the potential that the unit may appear twice, but unfortunately there is very little we can do without the core substitution system changing. We've had no issues during testing, so this is the first I've heard. The unit should be playable on all services in the timetable mode. Going to need a bit more information, such as the platform you're playing on, and if Crosscity is installed etc. Can you see the scenarios?
Has it definatly installed? Sounds ominous I know but sometimes buying something doesn't automatically install it on xbox.
Am on x box x. It has installed as it shows up in the scenarios. But there is no sign of it in timetable mode. Any ideas ?
Could you let me know what version of Birmingham Cross City and Regional Railways you have installed on the Xbox? It's sounding to me that the version of Cross City you have is an older version than what should have been released.
I bought cross city when it came out and was playing it ok only the other day. If it has been updated since then surely the x box does it automatically when it updates everything else ?
I'm the same series x had cross city for ages all the sceniors are their no train pick from in timetable mode at all my tsw4 is updated fully so nothing wrong their
Not always - if you could find Birmingham Cross City in your manage addons - and press X and tell us the file number - we can check internally if that's correct of not
Any breakdown on what the scenarios are? (Apologies if it’s been shown elsewhere & I’ve missed it). Also, could someone confirm if this is selectable in the timetable on PS5?
The bear not working in cab either no way to get him sit in the second man seat plus the train not being their in timetable section Xbox series x
Unable to select the Centro Regional Railways BR Class 323 in timetable mode. Birmingham Cross City Version: 1.1.555.0 Xbox Series X
For those reporting that the Regional Railways livery isn't appearing in the timetable, this obviously isn't what should have happened. The version of Cross City on Xbox doesn't match the version that we expected to be patched earlier in the week, and this is why it isn't appearing. We have no influence over the build process, so I've raised this with DTG to get the patch pushed out to you ASAP.
Hello everyone, just to add we're looking at this with our development teams now. Thank you for your patience.
Update 14/12/23 Hello everyone, as an update for Xbox players, we've just pushed an updated build to the store that will allow the Centro Regional Railways livery to appear again in the timetable and for the BCC improvements alongside the pack to be visible. These changes will require a re-installation of the add-on, and if you've already installed you will need to uninstall it first. Thank you for patiently waiting while we worked this out.
Ok i cant lie to all i personally dont think its worth a Fiver at all, If anything it should be No less than £1.50
For less than the price of a Latte in my local Starbucks, I’m thoroughly enjoying this. I remember Centro and used to live in central Birmingham before back in the late nineties. The livery brings back a lot of memories.
I got this on PS5 last night. Works as advertised. I could always use the second man seat on the 323 before this addon, I found it odd to be listed as a feature. The new scenarios are good and a bit different. The livery, I think is a bit too bright, especially the yellow cab ends. It does what it does. I does not fix some core issues with the route and the 323 itself. Particularly when AI takes over or changes ends. But for less of the price of a pint in my local its fine and my 4 year old daughter loves being able to drive with Hunslet the Bear on the dash.
It is not going to be added. It wasn't in the original plans and dtg already mentioned they aren't going to.
New 323 livery comes complete with some new scenarios for Cross City which feature ESRs & TSRs. Nice touch. however. the warning boards and where provided emergency speed indicators should have portable AWS Magnets associated with them and if the warning board comes before a station and the commencement after the station a R (Reminder) board with the temporary/emergency speed should be provided at the end of the platform.
Its such a pity that their are two of the same livery trains. It would be nice is DTG changed Its timetable to include coupling and uncoupling services.
Thought it was just me! A couple of times now I've been driving the centro livery train in timetable mode and then a centro liveried AI train with the same number has driven past!
They set the chance for AI to be the new livery to a low value to try and prevent duplicates appearing, but there will be just as much chance of it appearing while you are that livery as while you are the standard one. It's either that or never see it at all as AI.
When I got this pack on release day I was waiting on the platform in game and the first train to come in was the Centro 323
